Paul starts his series with the isometric squat.
It is an excellent exercise to apply a static force, to stimulate the neuromuscular system and got good carry over to line outs and jumping activities in rugby due to the joint angles and the force, outcomes that it gives you.

Paul is a big fan of using a bit of concentric power type activity with a plyometric as part of your primers.
In this session he has his player (Tom), doing a hand clean and a jumping activity.
The aim being quick across the ground and need to get elevation.

In this session Paul is aiming for his player Tom to apply the strength qualities that were fired up into a skill that can transfer onto the field.
In this case, his jump performance at the lineout by the vertical jump applying the force into the ground as much as possible to get as high as possible.
