About Shannon Parry

Shannon Parry is a female rugby union player. She plays for Australia and was a member of the squad to the 2010 Women’s Rugby World Cup that finished in third place. She was in the squad to the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens as defending champions.

She captained her country at the 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup in Paris.

A forward in the Sevens-form of the game, the Queenslander led her state to National Championship success in Canberra in March 2014 and one of the most feared players in the game.

A qualified secondary school teacher, Parry enjoys surfing in her spare time.
